“Finding Light in the Darkness”

October 2, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Paul K. Chappell, nationally known author, speaker, and peace advocate will speak at both Sunday services and lead an afternoon workshop at Unity Renaissance on Oct. 2. A West Point graduate and former Army captain, Paul offers a unique perspective on war and why peace is both necessary and possible.

His topic at the 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday services will be “Finding Light in the Darkness.” He will speak from personal experience about how traumatic life incidents can deepen our wisdom, expand our faith, and lead us to greater experiences of light.

His workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. will address two topics: “Why Peace is Possible” and “Waging Peace in Difficult Times.”

Archbishop Desmond Tutu has said: “Captain Paul K. Chappell has given us a crucial look at war and peace from the unique perspective of a soldier…He can help people everywhere understand why war must end, and how together we can end it.”

The workshop is available on a love offering basis. All are welcome.
