UR Boutique Art Group featuring artist Tonya Hopson – “Heaven’s Garden”

From Tonya: “Heaven’s Garden is a floral tribute to my mother. She had a beautiful flower garden every year. She had a green thumb that I did not inherit but God gave me another talent with my art. Sadly, she passed away last November. Many of my floral paintings were from photos of her flowers and I know she would be thrilled and proud of me for participating in this show. Thank you for the opportunity to honor her and our God.”

Tonya Hopson is an acrylic and watercolor painter originally from Grand Haven, Michigan; she started sketching at the age of twelve. Upon completing school, she joined the Marine Corps and active duty brought her to the Tidewater area where she has resided for over 25 years. Just five years ago she started taking some local art classes that revived her passion and creativity. Art has always come naturally to her so to have the opportunity to share her passion with others is a dream come true!
