“The Twenty Second Rule”

Sometimes 20 seconds is all it takes to tell others what we most want or need them to hear.
If you decide to summon 20 seconds of courage to begin an important conversation, here are some suggestions:
  • Center yourself in Spirit before you begin.
  • Speak to the other person as you would want them to speak to you.
  • Be willing to share your own fears, vulnerabilities, and shortcomings.
  • Show the other person(s) extreme respect and consideration.
  • Say what you need to say!

When you speak from your heart, courageously sharing your truth, you are expressing your Christ self. You are being true to yourself, and allowing others to know who you truly are.
