“Tools for Spiritual Mastery”

As I shared last Sunday, Unity’s third principle says: “Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.”

In Unity, we use catchphrases such as “What we think about we bring about” and “Thoughts held in mind produce after their kind” to remember the power of what we choose to think. If we hold positive thoughts, we have a more positive life experience. If we continually focus on what’s wrong, we have a more negative life experience. When we change our thinking, we change our lives.

Jesus exemplified the transformational power of Mind. He was the master of any situation because he was the master of his own thoughts. Jesus maintained a high level of consciousness by keeping himself in spiritual unity with God. He accomplished this through frequent periods of prayer and meditation.
