Nursery (ages 0-3)
Nursery Staff provide love and care for infants and toddlers to age 3. They offer activities, read stories, and play music, allowing children to naturally explore their world through play. They begin to learn to be kind, take turns, and share. They are also learning to trust other caretakers outside of their parents.
Unitots (Preschool-1st grade)
In the Unitots classroom, we begin to follow a more structured class flow that introduces prayer, lessons, and reflections. We make sure that there is time for movement and hands-on activities as these children love to stay busy. We work on developing good morals, practicing kindness towards others, and seeking to make a positive difference in the world.
Unikids (Elementary school)
The Unikids is the largest cohort with a mixed range of academic, social, and spiritual development. We make sure to offer time for play and social connection while children develop their own understanding of Unity principles through spiritual lessons. Each week we practice prayer, meditation, self-reflection, and self-expression to build their inner spiritual compasses.
Uniteens (Middle school)
As Uniteens are developing more complex emotions, lives, and spiritual beliefs, we aim to create an open space for them to reflect on these growing complexities. We create opportunities for social connection, discussing hard issues, developing self-awareness, and creative expression of spiritual beliefs. We practice using prayer and meditation to create positive mindsets and overcome challenges.
YOU - Youth of Unity (High school)
We aim to help YOUers develop their independence and to cope with peer pressure by exploring their innate power to create their own reality through their thinking and spiritual practices. We advance their understanding of Unity Principles and deepen their exposure to spiritual truths. We help them to understand that prayer and meditation are powerful tools to help them navigate their inner and outer world.
Special Needs
We do not presently have a separate classroom for children with special needs, however we have had numerous children, including those with autism, ADHD, and down syndrome, participate in our youth classes. We place them where they fit best and not necessarily based on their age group. We work with parents and volunteers to create special accommodations that work in our classrooms. If your child has special needs, we encourage you to let us know when you register.
