Unity Renaissance offers a beautiful setting for any type of wedding ceremony and reception, whether it be religious, spiritual, secular, or interfaith–or traditional or non-traditional. Whichever the case, our experienced team is dedicated to helping you bring your dream wedding to life.

Unity offers a beautiful, light filled sanctuary for your ceremony. After your vows, astound your guests with a lovely reception in our new built Fellowship Hall and adjoining kitchen.

The minister of Unity Renaissance, Reverend Paula Mekdeci, is available to officiate and has nearly ten years of experience in facilitating weddings with couples from all faiths and walks of life. You are also free to bring your own officiant.

An Affordable Church Wedding that Feels Sacred But Not “Preachy”

Unity Renaissance provides a number of wedding and event rental options to suit your needs in a venue that feels sacred but not “preachy.” Prices currently start from $1000 for a ceremony-only wedding. Ceremony and reception rentals currently start at $3,000. Our prices are reasonable and structured based on the space and length of time. We are happy to put together a rental package to suit your specific needs and budget.

Located in the heart of Greenbrier in Chesapeake, VA, Unity Renaissance is the perfect venue for many types of events – wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, military events, retirement and birthday parties, corporate retreats, holiday parties and other special occasions. Our newly built venue has a flexible event spaces that can be kept as one large room or divided into smaller spaces depending on your needs. There is a large, well-appointed kitchen to assist with your catering plans. Please speak with our Special Events Manager regarding capacity for specific events.

Our Facility

We are located in the heart of Greenbrier in beautiful Chesapeake, Virginia. We have ample parking, ADA accessibilty, and bountiful gardens. Our sanctuary is comfortable and wide open with the capacity to seat 212 quests. It has a contemporary design that is filled with natural light and will serve as the perfect backdrop for your decor. Our banquet room and kitchen are brand new and state of the art. We have room for 65 in our main banquet room and can seat up to 150 if we spread out into the adjacent Narthex and classrooms.

Our Vision

At Unity Renaissance, we believe that love matters. We are open, inclusive and accepting of all, whether you are a member of our community or not. Our ministers are empowered to marry couples of all backgrounds, faiths, orientation or beliefs. You can have that church wedding with our minister or a minister of your own…the choice is yours.
