It takes a Village!

What a fabulous week this has been at the Unity Worldwide Convention in Kansas City! I am filled with new ideas and inspiration about what’s next for our Unity movement and for our wonderful Unity Renaissance.

Here are three items from the convention worth cheering about:

  • Unity World Headquarters at Unity Village (home of Silent Unity, Daily Word, Unity Online Radio, and more) and Unity Worldwide Ministries (which oversees the Unity churches) are taking tangible steps to form a new, unified organization. We will vote on a new, united structure next June!
  • When attendees at the convention heard about the need for a new roof at the Unity headquarters in Nigeria, one church after another stood up to pledge a donation toward the $15,000 goal. I pledged $500 from Unity Renaissance. When we finished, a total of $32,500 had been collected! That’s enough to help churches in Puerto Rico and some other international ministries as well. What an inspiring, spontaneous action!
  • Finally, two wonderful souls from Unity Renaissance crossed the stage at the graduation ceremony: Cordy Mack, who is now a licensed and ordained Unity minister (We love you, Cordy!) and Richard Mekdeci, who graduated from his studies at the Unity Urban Ministerial School (We love you too, Richard!) Next year, Richard is on track to become a licensed and ordained Unity minister as well, which will create new opportunities for him in our shared ministry at Unity Renaissance.
