Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity wrote, “(Divine) Mind is the common meeting ground between God (our individualized Spirit) and it is only through the most highly accelerated mind action, prayer (meditation) that we consciously make union with God (Source). “ (Keep a True Lent, pg. 10)
Prayer and meditation increase our awareness of what needs to be released, clarifies our desire to be lifted to the Christ consciousness, and opens the way to the resurrection of the Christ within.
During the next 40 days we can release any baggage that appears to separate us from being divine expressions of the Christ while in the human condition. i.e. Unforgiveness, anger, judgment, attachments that limit us, bitterness, and apathy. As we fast and release fear, we are filled with peace of mind, body, and spirit. Then we know we have resurrected.
May this Lenten season be special as we dedicate our prayers to connect with and become, the divine expression of oneness called Unity Renaissance.
Rev. Richard Bunch
