Courageous Conversations

Rev. Patricia Gulino Lansky of Unity of Charlottesville will speak on “Courageous Conversations” at both Sunday services July 31st and present a workshop in the afternoon. Both her talk and workshop will be based on her new book, Accepting Death, Embracing Life: How Death Teaches Us to LIVE.

Rev. Patricia combines her stirring and emotional personal journey through the loss of eight family members with her experience of more than 40 years as a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist in private practice, and an ordained Unity minister, to turn fear of death and bereavement into a new appreciation for living.

About the Workshop

Rev. Patricia’s workshop, “Breaking the Silence: Positive Conversations About the Spirituality of Death and Dying,” will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday July 31st.

Being with our loved ones during their dying process is one of the greatest challenges we face in life.

– How can we best serve and comfort the dying and grief-stricken?
– How can we heal our own feelings of loos, grief, and fear of death?
– How do we take care of ourselves and have the strength to take care of our loved one?

Suggested love offering: $20. Child care available. Please sign up on the Hall Wall at Unity Renaissance.
