Parenthood: Perfectly Imperfect Workshop with Dr. Shafeeq Ameen

The workshop will highlight the Godly importance of parenthood by identifying, nurturing, and developing the innate greatness that rests in every child.

Dr. Shafeeq Ameen is the Director of Clinical Experiences and Student Services and Assistant Professor of Education at Norfolk State University. He has spent the past twenty-five years teaching at the elementary, middle, high school, and collegiate levels at both public and private institutions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia State University in English, Master of Education and Teaching degrees from both Norfolk State University and Regent University and a Doctor of Philosophy from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Ameen is the author of three books, “Parenthood 101: The Blueprint for raising academically successful and socially conscious children”, “A Message to a Fatherless Generation: The devastating consequences of absent fathers in the Lives of Boys” & “HBCU Pride: The transformational power of historically black colleges and universities”.
Dr. Ameen is the proud father of three amazing daughters. Jahaan, MBA Weidner University, Khadijah, Ph. D Georgia State University and Maryam, MD (OBGYN) Ross University.
Dr. Ameen is passionate about children and the innate greatness that God has placed in each one of their precious souls.
