UR Boutique Art Group featuring artist Amber Angeloni – “Inner Worlds” – September 6 – October 31

Amber Angeloni is a Virginia artist best known for her surreal scenes in vibrant, dreamlike colors. Angeloni has lived in the south for most of her life and has always held a profound and ever-present love for the southern coastline. As a result of this, her work often features sea creatures or the sea itself. She also finds inspiration in outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. Many of her favorite pieces were inspired by her own encounters with wildlife while pursuing these activities.

Angeloni grew up near the artist colony of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She was
interested in art from a young age, and some of her earliest memories involve entering
her drawings in the county fair. Even at this early stage she was most interested in art
that involved animals or nature. Amber pursued a bachelors degree in Art Education from the University of Central Arkansas and taught high school art for four years before
chronic illness forced her to leave teaching.

In 2015 Amber became interested in acrylic painting and began a second career as a wildlife and pet portrait artist. After moving to Virginia her style shifted toward surrealism and fantasy. She has also won awards from the Art Center Cooperative and
Monroe Galleries in Jacksonville, Florida, and The Artists Gallery in Virginia Beach. Her paintings have been featured in Southern Tides magazine and the Georgia-Times Union.

Amber’s artwork will be on display in the sanctuary from September 6 – October 31, 2019.
